NBA Heavyweight Championship

This is absolutely stolen from Ken Arneson. I'm also stealing his explanation of the way it works, but changing team names and such for the NBA.

If NBA champs were decided like boxing: beat the champ, and you're the champ. The 2006 season started with the Heat as champs. They were defeated by the Bulls. Then, the Bulls were defeated by Magic. And so on...until we reached our current champion. (Champion coming into a year is the previous year's NBA champion, not the Heavyweight champion.)
