We got a cat! His name's Joey from the Bronx. He was rescued from the streets up there only a few days ago, and he was pretty gross and dirty when we brought him home. We tried to bathe him, but that didn't work out so well. So we just paid up the bucks this one time to get him professionally bathed at Petco. It cost a pretty penny, but, considering that they had to bathe him "a couple times" according to the woman at the store, and that he fought us desperately to stay out of the tub, it was worth. His fur's no longer matted, he smells like baby powder, and he seems to be in a better mood.

He's tiny right now, but we're hoping he'll put on some weight once he's eating good food regularly for a little while. Of course, here's pictures.

He's adorable!
