Where the prospects are

MLB.com has a list of where the A's top 30 prospects will start the year. Nashville is, oddly, the squad to watch, with Franklin Barreto, Jorge Mateo, Dustin Fowler, and Sheldon Neuse all knocking on the MLB door. There's also Grant Holmes, whenever he comes back from his current shoulder injury.

Stockton could also be interesting, with Jesus Luzardo making his first full-season appearance, hopefully James Kaprielian, and tests for Greg Deichmann and Kevin Merrell, who seem likely to be ranked either higher, after proving themselves in High-A, or lower, after failing that test, next year. (I realize that sounds like every prospect, but there's also the possibility of treading water. I just don't see it for those two, at that level, in particular.)

Alex Hall has a useful breakdown of the entire minor-league system at Athletics Nation as well, which includes notes and thoughts, lists of injuries, and so forth. It's comprehensive.
